Summary

In a mysterious well, Wu Mian and Gui Bu Gui investigate a hidden location believed to contain an elixir of immortality. Gui Bu Gui reveals the well contains a national sacrificial altar, cleverly concealed from ordinary perception. He cuts the steward's hand for an unknown ritual, then forces the reluctant steward to search for a hidden entrance at the bottom of the well. Using Gui Bu Gui's cryptic instructions about stone formations and mechanisms, the steward eventually discovers a smooth palm-sized stone that might be the key to entering the secret Daoist chamber.
