Chapter 23: Mutated Martial Soul? [23]

Summary

Tang Wu Lin's teacher, Máng Tiān, announced that there would be an extra update that night at 12 o'clock, and they aimed to reach the top of both rankings the next day. Máng Tiān tried to break Tang Wu Lin's Blue Silver Grass but couldn't, which surprised him. Tang Wu Lin felt his soul power surge and then drop, and Máng Tiān explained that his Martial Soul might have mutated in a positive direction. Máng Tiān told Tang Wu Lin that mutations can occur due to special circumstances, such as fusing with compatible or incompatible soul spirits or being influenced by external factors. He explained that Blue Silver Grass is usually considered a useless Martial Soul, but it is compatible with snake-type soul spirits. Máng Tiān believed that Tang Wu Lin's Blue Silver Grass had mutated, making it stronger and more resilient. Tang Wu Lin was initially confused but felt hopeful after Máng Tiān's explanation. Máng Tiān advised him to focus on developing control-type abilities and using his Blue Silver Grass as a whip. He also told Tang Wu Lin that he had great talent in forging and could achieve great things with hard work. Tang Wu Lin felt a renewed sense of hope and was inspired by his teacher's words. He apologized to his family for worrying them and later went outside to reflect on the day's events. He named his little grass snake "Jin Guang" after it glowed with a golden shimmer on its forehead.
