Summary

Zhang Xuan, dressed in a light warrior uniform, arrives at the palace where the severed head of Yang Xuan Gan is confirmed to be real, raising suspicions about Yu Wen Shu's claim of killing him. Yang Tan, the Emperor's grandson, is intrigued yet cautious about Zhang Xuan's intentions. During their meeting, Zhang Xuan explains his actions in detail, including how he acquired Yang Xuan Gan's head. Yang Tan, impressed yet contemplative, decides to investigate Zhang Xuan's story further. Meanwhile, Yu Wen Shu panics when confronted about the discrepancies regarding the head, leading to his humiliation and punishment by the Emperor. Yang Guang, initially furious, ultimately spares Yu Wen Shu's life but strips him of his title. Yang Tan feels fortunate to have Zhang Xuan's support and considers him a valuable ally.
