Chapter 229: Agreement of Three Days. [846]

Summary

Gui Bu Gui arrives at the Heart Awareness Temple to find his son, Bai Wu Qiu, in a chaotic situation with Huo Shan and Guang Xiao. Bai Wu Qiu, claiming he did nothing to help, humorously reveals his lack of mediation skills. Huo Shan seeks temporary shelter, and Guang Xiao reluctantly agrees to let him stay. Gui Bu Gui concocts a story about Bai Wu Qiu needing to recite scriptures for his deceased mother, leading to the son being granted a leave of absence. After their departure, Guang Xiao feels relieved but remains wary of Huo Shan, who stays quietly in his room. Two days later, an official brings news that Guang Xiao’s mentor, Kasyapa, will visit, prompting Guang Xiao to reflect on Huo Shan's intentions.
