Summary

In a small grove, the narrator and Brother Xiang set up a red thread formation, discussing their future aspirations. They reflect on their supernatural encounters and desire for a simpler life. Unexpectedly, Fang Shi Cheng arrives with a fox demon. A confrontation ensues where the narrator attempts to challenge the demon dramatically but gets beaten. Brother Xiang uses a moonlight-reflecting mirror to expose the fox demon's true form. A fierce battle breaks out, with the narrator ultimately defeating the fox demon by piercing her with the General Cheng sword, causing her to bleed and stagger back.
