Summary

Zhang Xuan observes the approaching bandit army at Wucheng, recognizing their strategy to use lower-tier soldiers to conserve resources. He receives news of the annihilation of Zhang Jin Cheng's troops in Beihai County, allowing him to confidently prepare for the defense. As the bandits advance, Sui Jun forces unleash a powerful counterattack using bed crossbows and catapults, inflicting heavy casualties on the bandit ranks. Despite the devastation, the bandits persist, climbing ladders and attempting to breach the city wall, motivated by the promise of rewards. The Sui Jun soldiers face significant losses but manage to push back against the assault.
