Summary

Shi Mu uses a powerful binding technique to immobilize two dangerous scorpions, revealing their mindless bloodthirstiness. He discovers that someone has been controlling them to delay their progress. As they move deeper into a vast underground cave filled with rich spiritual energy, they encounter a mysterious black-robed man who has been drawing power from an ancient well. This man, powerful and malevolent, threatens Shi Mu and his companions after they kill the scorpions he had subdued. A confrontation ensues, with Shui Ling Zi and Cai Er launching simultaneous attacks against the black-robed man, but their efforts are thwarted by a dark vortex created by the man, which consumes their magical attacks.
