Summary

Inside a grand tent, a story unfolds about a woman who leaves her husband for a traveler claiming to be a prince. The traveler, however, is deceitful, intending to sell her into slavery. Her husband, a hunter, finds her at a slave market with their child. She confesses her loneliness led her to follow the traveler. The hunter, believing beauty to be devilish, scars their child to prevent him from becoming a devil. The tale ends with a bandit leader marking a young bandit, reinforcing the belief that beauty is dangerous. Meanwhile, a group plans an attack on the bandits, questioning the whereabouts of their leader, Yipianyun.
