Summary

In the early morning, a villager discovers a pool of blood while relieving himself near a tree, only to find Wu Da Zhuang hanging lifelessly. Coroner Chen Xi investigates, revealing a bloody hole in Wu's chest. Ruan Nan Chen questions Song Mu Yan, who acknowledges hearing about Wu's death. She surprisingly expresses happiness over the demise of her tormentor. As Ruan Nan Chen presses for information on the killer, Song Mu Yan feigns ignorance, claiming the darkness hindered her sight. Despite her earlier bravado, she feels intimidated by Ruan Nan Chen's presence as he confronts her.
