Summary

In a bitterly cold winter, Mi Xiao Jing and others wait for a flying vessel that arrives to capture them. Confused and frightened, Mi Xiao Jing follows the crowd onto the ship, where he discovers fellow villagers and low-ranking disciples from the Xiyuan Gate. The atmosphere is tense, filled with fear and uncertainty as they are herded like cattle. After a long journey, they land in a square surrounded by buildings, where they are met by those in charge. Mi Xiao Jing, feeling like livestock, grapples with the loss of his sect and the humiliation that awaits, as a voice announces the selection of young cultivators.
