Chapter 219: Video. [219]
Summary
Upon examining the crime scene photos, Lin Qi Ye finds the bloodstains to be suspiciously sparse. Wen Qi Mo, Lin Qi Ye, and Xiao Hei proceed to watch a video recorded at the tavern the night before. The video shows a lively wine party, which ends with the tavern owner stumbling out, leaving the recorder on and capturing the following events. Sun Xiao, a waitress, is seen being pinned to the wall in the tavern's backyard. Iron nails rise from the ground and pin Sun Xiao to the wall, who appears to be in pain. His fingers seem to gradually disappear, until an iron nail pierces his heart, killing him. Lin Qi Ye notes that the fingers were not cut off all at once, but disappeared gradually, which does not align with the autopsy report. Wen Qi Mo suggests that the fingers might have been cut off bit by bit, like slicing carrots, but Lin Qi Ye questions where the fingers went. He also wonders about the timing of the wine party and the incident, as well as the absence of surveillance cameras in the area. Lin Qi Ye expresses his suspicion about the incident, feeling that something is off, and requests to see the files and corpses related to three similar cases.Full content
