Summary

In a dark, eerie old dormitory, a group of eight young men, led by Dao Miao, perform a ritual to appease a restless spirit. They gather at a four-cornered pavilion, lighting candles and incense while offering spirit money. As they invoke the spirit, a whirlwind surrounds them, and Dao Miao uses a willow branch to drive the spirit away. The boys, frightened yet obedient, bow and apologize, hoping to pacify the entity. After the ritual, they return to their dormitory, relieved but shaken. Meanwhile, Du Gu Hao Yan, the boss, feels the absence of his secretary, Secretary Zhang, as he reviews documents late at night, sensing something is missing.
