Summary

The protagonist, unsure of the Eight Formation Diagram's intricacies, prepares to confront a fox demon in a Buddhist temple. After a humorous exchange with Fang Shi Neng, he enters the room where the demon lures him with her charm. Realizing her true nature, he uses a peach wood sword and blood to reveal her as a fox demon. Despite his efforts with exorcism talismans, she transforms and attacks. Brother Xiang sets a trap using the Eight Trigrams Formation, entangling the demon. The protagonist attempts to finish her off, but the talismans fail to kill her, leading to a tense standoff as both he and Brother Xiang struggle against the demon's power.
