Summary

Chen Pi gifts Bai Ze rare medicinal materials. Bai Ze cares for Wu Xie, who is growing up and practicing calligraphy. As autumn arrives, Bai Ze learns of Xie Lao Jiu's declining health. Attending Xie Lao Jiu's will reading, he witnesses Xiao Hua, a child, being named clan chief. Xie Lao Jiu passes away that night, with only Bai Ze and Xie Lian Huan present.
