Summary

Wang Lun, aboard a magnificent dragon boat crafted by the Wang Family, boasts about his family's preparations for the Dragon Boat Festival, where the Empress Dowager's prestigious reward hangs in the balance. Du Yu, his rival and nephew of the Empress, is determined to win despite Wang Lun's apparent advantages. The race begins with intense competition as boats from various states clash. Yangzhou's boat, enhanced with precious treasures, initially leads until Jingzhou's elite military rowers surge ahead.
