Summary

Wang Liu Er questioned why Xi Men Qing only invited a few guests to enjoy lanterns and wine, to which he promised an invitation for the next day. Their conversation revealed tensions and feelings of jealousy, especially regarding a young lady who was scolded. As they drank, their intimacy grew, leading to Xi Men Qing taking Wang Liu Er into his arms. After a night of passion, he departed, but upon returning home, he was heavily intoxicated. Pan Jinlian, waiting for him, attempted to rouse him and ended up giving him an overdose of monk's medicine. The next morning, Xi Men Qing experienced dizziness and weakness, prompting concern from Pan Jinlian and others.
