Summary

Liang Shi Cheng, a eunuch with a lavish residence near the imperial palace, is known for his fondness for beautiful women and his luxurious lifestyle. Li Yan Qing arrives at his estate but is initially rebuffed by guards. After Liang Shi Cheng returns, he instructs his attendants to bring Li Yan Qing to the outer study. There, Li Yan Qing encounters Liang Qing, Liang Shi Cheng's third adopted son, who is hostile due to a previous clash. Despite Liang Qing's anger, he is forced to remain respectful when he learns of his father's interest in meeting Li Yan Qing. In the outer study, Liang Shi Cheng admires Li Yan Qing's knowledge of calligraphy and poetry, particularly Su Shi's works. Li Yan Qing impresses Liang Shi Cheng by writing a poem, indicating his deep understanding of the subject. Liang Shi Cheng appreciates Li Yan Qing's talents and invites him to sit, asking about the purpose of his visit, which Li Yan Qing must navigate delicately.
