Summary
Zhang Xu Tuo quickly moved from North City to South City, with Han Zhi Shou chasing him. As Zhang Xu Tuo dismounted to inspect the terrain, Han Zhi Shou, driven by ambition, ordered his soldiers to open the city gates and charge out. However, as Han Zhi Shou pursued Zhang Xu Tuo, he was unaware that a trap was being set. Sui soldiers emerged from underground, storming the city gates as chaos ensued. Han Zhi Shou, realizing he had fallen into a trap, attempted to flee but was intercepted and killed by Pei Xingyan. The Sui army, led by Zhang Xuan, took control of Wucheng City amidst fierce fighting, with many bandits surrendering or being slaughtered. After securing the city, Zhang Xuan discovered a significant amount of grain and warhorses remaining in the granary. However, news arrived of a large bandit force approaching, setting the stage for further conflict.Full content
