Summary

In a farmhouse courtyard, a group of young Taoist priests gathers, puzzled by their surroundings. Cui Zuo Fei introduces his companions to Taoist Priest Mo Xuan, who reveals that the mission to eliminate the drought demon will be led by the renowned Mao Lin Long, an expert in demon-slaying. However, Mo Xuan warns that Mao Lin Long's help comes with strings attached, as he seeks something from the Hán Bà. Mao Lin Long shares amusing anecdotes about the protagonist's master but later offers serious advice: never trust anyone, especially not women, and be wary of conspiracies. This leaves the protagonist confused and contemplative as the meeting concludes.
