Summary
Wu Er investigates his brother Wu Da's death, discovering that Xi Men Qing was responsible for killing him and taking his sister-in-law as a concubine. After seeking justice at the courthouse, Wu Er finds the officials are corrupt and unwilling to help. Frustrated by the lack of legal recourse, he confronts Xi Men Qing's associates, tracking him down to a tavern. When Xi Men Qing escapes, Wu Er confronts the constable Li Wai Chuan, who had informed Xi Men Qing about the complaint, and prepares to extract information through force.Full content
