Summary

Zhou Liu Yun, standing atop the Mei Xue Intelligence Tower, observes six white-clad disciples from the Great Jin White Egret Academy as they approach Huya Mouth, where a brutal battle has left over a thousand corpses. The area is chaotic, with onlookers horrified by the bloodshed and the presence of the notorious Major Bandit family, the Three Prefectures. The disciples, dismissive of the bandits and the local governor's incompetence, view the situation as beneath them, focusing instead on their mission to the White Python River fish market. They fail to connect the corpses to their own mentor, Zhou Liu Yun, and express disdain for the region's poverty, with one disciple vowing to rid Zhou of the "petty thieves" occupying his ancestral home.
