Summary

Gu Xiu, a fourth-layer Qi Refining cultivator, unknowingly attracts the attention of the notorious Spring and Autumn Twin Fiends, Cen Chun Shan and Cen Qiu Shan, who plan to ambush him while he attempts to break the restrictions on a Wanbao Box. Despite their initial intent to kill him, they realize Gu Xiu possesses some skill in unlocking the box. The brothers decide to wait and observe him, hoping to use him to open the treasure. As Gu Xiu continues to work on the box, the brothers grow impatient, fearing the arrival of Wanbao Tower's reinforcements. Eventually, they decide to approach Gu Xiu, and Cen Chun Shan offers to help him, agreeing to a 70-30 split of the treasure. Gu Xiu instructs Cen Chun Shan to pour his spiritual energy into a segment of the box, and while Cen Chun Shan struggles with his dwindling energy, he continues to assist Gu Xiu.
