Summary

The Du family of Aoba Island, despite external threats, remains a local power. They escort Chu Tian and Chu Ya Ya from a gathering of spiritual cultivation families to a welcoming airship. News of Chu Tian's alchemical skills spreads quickly. As they fly over Aoba Island, Chu Tian observes the unique charm of its towns and the genuine joy of its residents, contrasting with the rigid lifestyles of those from other islands. Du Wen, the Du family's elder, expresses interest in recruiting Chu Tian, who hints at establishing a sect and passing on his knowledge. Excited, Du Wen promises support. However, chaos ensues when attackers fire siege crossbows at their airship. Chu Tian reacts swiftly, propelling himself and Chu Ya Ya out of the airship just before it is destroyed, while Du Wen attempts to shield them with protective barriers. The scene ends with them engulfed in flames.
