Summary

Li Yan Qing encounters Li Kui, the former governor, and they share a warm reunion after several years. Li Kui praises Li Yan Qing for his achievements and offers assistance. Li Yan Qing reflects on his past promise to Jiuzhen, who has grown into a beautiful young girl, and they briefly reconnect. Later, at a gathering in the Alunite Building, Li Yan Qing observes a game called Wen She, where young men and women compete for valuable prizes. He learns about the competition between Sa Jin, a skilled archer from Western Xia, and Wang Ying Jie, a general’s subordinate. Sa Jin wins the round, prompting a challenge from Zhong Shi Dao, the Shaanxi Governor, who is determined to continue the competition despite his subordinates' losses. Li Yan Qing offers to compete on behalf of Zhong Shi Dao.
