Summary

In a tense standoff, a long-faced man is held at knifepoint by a scholar, who is injured but determined to survive. The long-faced man, fearing for his life, realizes that their previous ally, Wu Ying, has been killed, leaving him vulnerable. Meanwhile, three men outside discuss their predicament, unaware that a woman has arrived seeking the scholar. She learns of his supposed death, which devastates her.
