Summary

In this chapter, Barbara narrowly escapes a devastating attack from a powerful force, leaving her severely injured. She encounters Mei Lun, who is in a hurry to finalize a contract with her. Barbara, anxious to complete the Abyssal Contract to avoid dire consequences, learns that Mei Lun has not yet decided on the third condition. Meanwhile, Mei Lun seizes the opportunity to raid the lairs of the recently deceased demon suzerains. As chaos erupts in the demon city, Mei Lun cleverly navigates through the turmoil, ultimately infiltrating the palace of the suzerain Segundo. There, he discovers a collection of black crystals containing evil souls and a gray-black crystal that holds the secret technique called "Equal Measure of Evil." This technique allows one to cultivate the essence of evil within their soul. Mei Lun realizes that little Hong Lian possesses a special soul of extreme evil and considers the implications of this discovery. Upon returning to the Fairy Tale Kingdom, he decides against allowing Hong Lian to cultivate the risky technique, prioritizing her safety over immediate power.
