Summary

Wang Jie and Little Xue, now teenagers, embark on their first trip to the city after years of anticipation. Accompanied by a middle-aged man, they travel to sell goods from their village. Upon arrival, they find the city bustling and vibrant, a stark contrast to their quiet village. Little Xue enjoys candied hawthorn but attracts unwanted attention from a wealthy man. Wang Jie, protective of her, leads her away, unaware of the lurking danger. A sinister plot unfolds as the man orders his servant to investigate them, planning to eliminate Wang Jie and capture Little Xue. Their return journey home is fraught with impending disaster.
