Summary

Gu Zheng, at the mid-stage of the third level of inner strength, finds himself trapped and confronted by two masters at the fifth level. Unfamiliar with their intentions, he suspects they might be after the jade fu ling he possesses. The elders, however, express excitement over Gu Zheng's potential, believing he could save their sect, Emei. Despite their apparent goodwill, Gu Zheng remains cautious, especially when they present him with a celestial artifact, an emerald-green ring. Although the artifact spirit assures him of its safety, Gu Zheng hesitates to wear it, wary of the elders' true motives after being unexpectedly captured.
