Chapter 196: Divine-Level Wine [190]
Summary
In this chapter, Zhang Yuan learns about "Xian Shu" from his teacher, Ye Qing Song. Ye Qing Song explains that in ancient times, before the rise of powerful professionals, there were immortals known as "Xian" who possessed transcendent powers and techniques called "Xian Shu." However, these immortals have become nearly extinct as more powerful professionals emerged. Ye Qing Song reveals his connection to the deity Wine Sword Immortal, stating that he is a bestower of blessings for this god. Zhang Yuan expresses interest in learning Xian Shu, but Ye Qing Song instructs him to practice his swordsmanship first. As Zhang Yuan trains, he struggles to perceive the sword energy unleashed by Ye Qing Song, which becomes increasingly challenging. After hours of practice, he begins to discern the overlapping waves of sword energy but still cannot block them effectively. Wang Hao Ran arrives, carrying a massive box as part of his own training. After a strenuous effort, he places the box down, revealing a ten-meter tall bronze statue of Wine Sword Immortal inside. Ye Qing Song informs Zhang Yuan that the statue is for him to learn the immortal arts. He then offers both Zhang Yuan and Wang Hao Ran a divine-level wine, which they drink, causing the statue to glow and emanate a powerful divine force.Full content
