Summary

As night fell, Qin Lian'er prepared tea for Su Bai, who was heading to the Black Water Army camp. He entrusted her with managing the Su Mansion and advised her to consult Yue Chan if needed. Su Bai also instructed her to take Xiao Li to the Duke's residence. The next day, Su Bai left for the camp, where he presented a letter of recommendation from the old Duke to Commander Wei Chi Lin. Impressed by Su Bai's credentials, Lin Qing, the commander's deputy, welcomed him to the camp, where Su Bai reflected on his past experiences with soldiers. Wei Chi Lin noticed Su Bai's familiarity but couldn't place him.
