Chapter 191: Despair of Tripitaka and His Disciples. [191]

Summary

Ran Deng Fo Zu confronts Chu Yun, who mocks him and prepares to use his stolen Purple Gold Alms Bowl against him. However, Ran Deng Fo Zu escapes using a secret technique, prompting Chu Yun to attack with the Seven Star Arrow, injuring him slightly. The disturbance alarms the deities at Western Heaven's Mystical Mountain, who realize that Tripitaka and his disciples have been captured by Chu Yun. They appeal for Buddha Tathagata's intervention. Meanwhile, Sun Wukong protects Tripitaka as they find themselves trapped in Chu Yun's treasure, encountering State Master Wang Pu Sa and ancient sacred emperors who discuss their predicament. Tripitaka explains their capture was due to a request for travel expenses, which angered Chu Yun. The situation escalates as they realize Mystical Mountain may need to negotiate for their release. Chu Yun, aware his arrows only serve to annoy, plans to continue his provocations.
