Summary

In a world without horseshoes, Little Huan follows her master Li Yi's unusual command to starve a horse for three days. Liu Ru Yi, another character, intervenes, taking the feed to the horse despite Huan's concerns. Li Yi, wary of Liu's temper, feels relieved when she doesn’t hold a previous incident against him. Meanwhile, he orders horseshoes from a blacksmith, who is baffled by their purpose. Li Yi explains that horses need shoes to protect their hooves, especially for military horses. Old Fang, the blacksmith, eventually understands the necessity for horseshoes, realizing they could prevent hoof issues in frequently used horses. Li Yi plans to fit a troublesome horse with the shoes, intending to teach it a lesson.
