Chapter 19: Two Thousand Years Later. [19]

Summary

Wu Mian focuses on Wu Zu's corpse, questioning if Guang Xiao will return. Gui Bu Gui reassures him that Guang Xiao's severe injuries will prevent a comeback. Ignoring Gui Bu Gui, Wu Mian heads toward the waterfall to settle scores. He confronts the new Wu Zu, asserting that the debt of Wu Zu will be repaid by him. Gui Bu Gui interjects, suggesting that the debt should include interest, proposing a delay of a hundred years. The new Wu Zu insists on immediate action, fearing that they would be outmatched later. They negotiate for two thousand years, agreeing on a heavy iron lump as interest. Afterward, Wu Mian, frustrated, contemplates vengeance, while Gui Bu Gui cleverly avoids immediate conflict.
