Entering Dao from Infancy
Chapter 19: Thin Blessings [18]
Summary
Li Hao contemplates his swordsmanship and potential as he considers becoming a disciple of the Sword Saint, Jian Wu Dao. While he recognizes the prestige of the Southern Sword Lodge, he worries about the limitations compared to other training places. Jian Wu Dao, however, dismisses Li Hao’s potential, stating he lacks passion for the sword. Despite attempts from others to defend Li Hao, Jian Wu Dao remains firm in his assessment, emphasizing the importance of innate talent and love for the sword. As the conversation progresses, Bian Ru Xue, a gifted girl, expresses her desire to stay with Li Hao, showing a strong bond between them. Jian Wu Dao decides to take her as a disciple, believing she has great potential. Li Hao, understanding the opportunity this presents for her, encourages her to go, despite her reluctance and tears. He promises to wait for her return, and they share a heartfelt moment before she leaves with Jian Wu Dao. Before departing, Jian Wu Dao offers a body refinement manual to Li Hao, suggesting he try it out, though he maintains that Li Hao's chances of becoming his disciple are slim due to his perceived lack of qualities essential for swordsmanship.Full content
