Summary

Tang Wu Lin, filled with hope for his first spiritual being, is disappointed to discover it is a weak grass snake, a product of failed experiments to create spiritual beings from non-soul beast genes. Despite his hard work and dreams of becoming a Soul Scholar, he feels crushed by the reality of his situation. His father, Tang Zi Ran, tries to comfort him, promising to find a way to earn money for a better spirit. Alone in his room, Tang Wu Lin breaks down in tears, feeling that all his efforts have been in vain. Na Er, his supportive friend, comforts him as he expresses his frustration and despair over his perceived lack of opportunity despite his dedication.
