Summary

In a tavern, Old Ma confronts Lu Chen about his late-night activities, expressing irritation over Lu Chen's rescue of a Kunlun disciple, Hong Chuan, who was nearly drowned. Old Ma warns Lu Chen about the dark mark of the demonic sect discovered in the village and suggests that some newcomers may be suspicious. They discuss a newcomer named Li Ji, who is charming and skilled in painting, but also suspected of being connected to the demonic sect. After leaving the tavern, Lu Chen reflects on the village's beauty and notices Li Ji interacting with women. He then returns to his grass hut, where Hong Chuan is recovering. When Hong Chuan wakes up, he is confused about how he ended up there, prompting Lu Chen to explain the events of the previous night.
