Summary

Lu Jia finds himself in a desolate wilderness, haunted by the disappearance of Elder Huang, who had been his mentor and savior. As he searches for answers, he discovers a blood-stained knife and a note, symbolizing his newfound solitude and responsibility. He reflects on his mundane past life and realizes he must forge his own path. Upon arriving at Kong Ju Village, he is met with devastation—every inhabitant has perished in a horrific tragedy. Overwhelmed by the gruesome scene, he encounters a blood-soaked man who attacks him. In a desperate struggle, Lu Jia defends himself, ultimately taking the man's life, leaving him to grapple with the weight of his actions and the reality of his new existence.
