Summary

The Flame Mountain is a small, jinxed scenic area featuring an exhibition hall with murals and sculptures, a large thermometer plaza, and a camel for photos. Gu Yu climbs the mountain, noting its low altitude and the underground reservoir that supports oases. He senses aggressive fire-attributed spiritual energy that threatens to render the area barren. After a day of exploration, he encounters mysterious individuals offering help, which annoys him. Later, he meets a beautiful woman who invites him to meet her master. When she refuses to reveal her master's identity, Gu Yu resorts to intimidation, breaking her fingers to extract information.
