Summary

Bai Wa's unexpected arrival disrupted the Guandou army's encirclement, allowing him and his brother Tie Wa to unite and fight their way to Jun Tai. Upon entering the city, they were welcomed by the Huaishan martial arts experts, who were pleased with their safe return. The experts decided that although Bai Wa had made mistakes, his contributions in battle outweighed them, and he would not face punishment. Grand Minister Xia Qi entrusted the defense of Jun Tai to the Huaishan experts, who organized the troops and planned to wait for reinforcements from the Xiahou clan. They advised holding the city against the Guandou army, which was not prepared for a prolonged siege. Xia Qi agreed to their strategy and promoted the Huaishan experts, appointing Tie Wa as commander of the tribal army with Bai Wa as his deputy. They implemented strict defense measures and inspected the city's fortifications as the Guandou army prepared to lay siege outside.
