Summary

Han Qi Guang does not scold Han Si Gui publicly, but the next day, Shen Jiao notices Han Si Gui is missing. She learns from Han Si Li that Han Si Gui has been locked in the ancestral hall by Han Qi Guang as punishment. Han Si Li describes the ancestral hall as a frightening place, recalling that their older brother was terrified when he was locked there. Shen Jiao reflects on her own experience of being locked in the ancestral hall at a young age, feeling cold and scared, but believes she would not be afraid now. Han Si Li shares that the ancestral hall is on a barren mountain, which surprises Shen Jiao and makes her think of Han Si Gui's fear. Later, Han Si Li delivers dishes from Shen Jiao to the Qi family, where Qi Hua Rong feels anger and jealousy seeing the food, suspecting Shen Jiao's influence over Han Qi Xiu. She inquires about Han Si Gui's absence but receives a vague answer. Qi Hua Rong plans to ask Han Si Wu about Han Si Gui, feeling a sense of pride in her perceived influence over him, despite her disdain for his social status.
