Summary

In a classroom, Chen San San feels an unsettling gaze on him, making it difficult to concentrate during class. He suspects it comes from a blackboard and the teacher, who seems to watch him closely. After class, he learns from Liu Pei, the class monitor, that he is expected to see the head teacher, which worries him. Despite being the top student, he feels judged and misunderstood. As he stands up to confront Liu Pei, the teacher returns and orders him to come with her. Overwhelmed, Chen San San contemplates ways to avoid her but ultimately resigns to his fate, kicking a paper figure as he passes by.
