Summary

In a mountainous village, a terrifying roar disrupts the night, prompting villagers to gather. The village chief sends two promising young men, Kobayashi and Jun Jie, to investigate. They discover a massive, fearsome creature in a cave. As they attempt to flee, Kobayashi is fatally injured, urging Jun Jie to escape. Jun Jie returns to warn the villagers, but the news of Kobayashi's death devastates them. The village chief orders everyone to hide, recalling the teachings of two visitors who had previously warned them about corrupted entities. As villagers prepare for danger, they remember the past and the threats that loom over them.
