Summary

The Abbess informs Su Jin Nian and others that to lift a curse, they must find its source, rooted in a past injustice where a wealthy man oppressed a poor woman, leading her to take her own life. They discover clues in an ancient book, which mentions the woman's death at an ancient pavilion on a full moon night. As they journey to the pavilion, they hear sobbing and encounter a fearful elder who reveals the woman's vengeful spirit appears there every full moon. Upon reaching the pavilion, they find strange symbols and are confronted by the woman's spirit, filled with resentment.
