Summary

In the Rain Ninja Village, Jiraiya confronts a group of six individuals known as 'Pain,' one of whom resembles his deceased friend Yihiko. As Jiraiya grapples with the situation, he realizes the presence of the 'Rinnegan' among them, linked to his former disciple Nagato. The group attacks, and Jiraiya narrowly escapes into the water. He manages to trap one of the 'Pain' in a barrier, but despite his injuries, he decides to stay and gather more information, sending his companions back to relay crucial news. However, he soon finds himself overwhelmed by the enemies, leading to a dire situation where he is attacked and drained of chakra. Just as he begins to lose consciousness, a mysterious black-haired youth appears, offering help and prompting Jiraiya to accept assistance in his moment of need.
