Summary

In a hidden chamber within a dungeon, a lich named Ji Er recounts his tragic love story involving a noble young lady, which Kobayashi succinctly summarizes, interrupting the melancholic atmosphere. Kobayashi and his companion, Sato Kazuma, discuss the unusual nature of another lich, Wei Zi, who retains her physical form and eats, prompting curiosity from Ji Er. Eventually, Ji Er reveals his desire to be purified by Aqua, the Water Goddess, who has awakened him with her divine power. After Aqua performs a purification ritual, Ji Er disappears along with the bones of the young lady, leaving Kobayashi and his companions in a contemplative silence. As they leave the dungeon, they reflect on mortality and their bonds, while Aqua's presence inadvertently attracts monsters, leading to a humorous confrontation.
