Summary

Nie Li leisurely explored the City Lord's treasury, surprised by the number of ancient artifacts. He asked Ye Zi Yun if he could take items, to which she agreed, feeling indebted to him. Nie Li collected several Guardian Stones, which could form protective barriers, and shared some with Ye Zi Yun. He continued to gather various treasures, including scrolls of legendary forbidden techniques, and expressed disappointment at the treasury's overall lack of impressive items despite his haul. His attention was drawn to a mysterious egg with strange runes. Unable to identify it, Nie Li attempted to inject soul power into the egg but encountered a barrier, indicating it might be a high-level demon beast. He then used a page from the Book of Space and Time, which caused a connection between the egg and the book. After a struggle with the barrier, he managed to establish a bond with the egg and decided to take it for further study. As they left the treasury, they encountered Ye Yan Shi Zu, who expressed frustration at the ongoing troubles caused by the Dark Guild. Nie Li reminded him of the importance of their mission to restore peace.
