Chapter 170: Trapped in Prison. [177]
Summary
Li Su brutally beat Wu Lang Zhong, who cried out in agony until his voice grew weaker. Program Chu Mo intervened, grabbing Li Su's arm and warning him to stop. Li Su, exhausted, stopped and Wu Lang Zhong lay on the ground, his robes torn and tattered. Later, the Golden Armor Guards arrived, surrounding the courtyard and detaining the young masters, including Li Su. The general announced that they would be taken to the Supreme Court. Li Su was held in solitary confinement, where he demanded a clean cell with sunshine, a mountain stream, and no fleas or dust. The emperor, Li Shi Min, was furious upon learning of the incident and vowed not to show favoritism, ordering the young masters' parents to reflect on their actions and remain at home. The young masters were later imprisoned in the Temple of Justice for 10-15 days. Li Cheng Qian, the crown prince, inquired about the incident and was told that Li Su generally had little contact with high-ranking officials, except for Lu Guo Gong, and there were no prior grievances between Li Su and Wu Lang Zhong. The incident left many wondering why Li Su used such extreme measures against Wu Lang Zhong.Full content
