Summary

Yang Yi unexpectedly becomes the tenant of Old Man Hu Song Nan, who charges him only a dollar for three years' rent. The old man insists that Yang Yi take care of the house instead of giving him money, as he has a son in Hong Kong who supports him. Yang Yi, celebrating his newfound freedom, prepares a meal but finds himself thinking of his daughter, Xi Xi. Meanwhile, he sees news about Mo Fei, Xi Xi's mother, who is being publicly criticized by musician Liu Shi Fang. Liu's harsh comments damage Mo Fei's reputation and career, leading to tension with her agent, Niu Mei Ling.
