The Heroic Journey Across the World.

Chapter 17: The Possibility of Being Forgotten. [54]

Summary

Zhang Heng and Hao Qi meet to discuss their ongoing investigation into Zhang Heng's father's alleged crimes. Hao Qi expresses his worries, and they decide to gather supplies before continuing their search. As they explore various locations for clues over the next month, they find nothing, leading Zhang Heng to despair about his father's innocence. While at the mountain's edge, Zhang Heng reflects on their search and recalls a game character's saying about trying again after falling. This inspires him to not give up. He discovers blue grass growing on the cliff and realizes his father may have been searching for herbs in dangerous areas. After a conversation with Hao Qi about trust, Zhang Heng believes he has found a method to cultivate the crimson blue grass, which could clear his father's name. He theorizes that his father’s long-term herb collection and the scattering of seeds could have led to the growth of blue grass in certain areas. They begin gathering blue grass to test his hypothesis about cultivation, which hinges on the idea that the blue grass can thrive in various conditions, especially in places with limited light and ample soil.
