Summary

Li Yan Qing wakes up early to go to school and encounters Uncle Hu, who informs him about his father's absence and a debt collector named Liu. Uncle Hu helped Li Yan Qing's father by dealing with Liu and retrieving a debt note. Li Yan Qing expresses gratitude and heads to school, meeting his younger brothers, Li Er and Li San, who are anxious about unfinished homework. They share spooky tales about ghosts near their school, which frightens Li San. Upon arriving, they see a figure in white, initially thought to be a ghost, but it turns out to be Wang Gui, who challenges Li Yan Qing to a duel. They fight, and Li Yan Qing easily defeats Wang Gui, who, feeling defeated, sits by the riverbank. They discuss a past incident involving a character named Blood Wolf, with Wang Gui curious about Li Yan Qing's prowess.
